29-30 April 2017 in Kryvyi Rig saw the competitions in basketball according to the program of the VII all-Ukrainian aged games of sports veterans devoted to the memory of social and sporting figure M.M.Baky. Shanditseva Polina Mykhailivna, the senior lecturer of physical education department, was the representative of the Academy of Telecommunications in the national basketball team of Odessa region.
Odessa region team won the competition in basketball in 35+ age category!

March 25, 2017 students of ONAT n.a. O.S. Popov together with the Primorsky district administration of Odessa City Council traditionally participated in the municipal volunteer clean-up, held in a Central Park of culture and rest n.a. T.H. Shevchenko.
During the event, students have cleaned the park area out of plastic and rubbish and also have planted new trees.

On December 3, 2016, Poltava Sports Complex held the Open Championship on Shinkiokushinkai karate of Poltava oblast.
178 sportsmen took part in the Championship, which were representatives of regions of Ukraine named below:

Halan Mikola, the 1st year student of ERI of Computer Technologies, Automation and Logistics won the 18+ age category and up to 80kg weight category!

All- Ukrainian Week of Law in ONAT n. a. O.S. Popov!
Since December 5 until December 9, 2016, the Academy of Telecommunications was conducting All- Ukrainian week of Law. Within this event, the employees of ONAT n. a. O.S. Popov have organized a book exhibition called “All- Ukrainian Week of Law”, where publications about human rights and other literature on laws were presented.
Within All- Ukrainian Week of Law, the judge of Primorsky District Court of Odesa, Zahorodniuk Volodymyr Ivanovych, conducted the outreach lecture and talk called “Judicial Reform: Changes in System of Justice of Ukraine”. Its aim was to inform students of main notions about main Laws and human rights in Ukraine.

Students went to excursion around all the departments of Council Administration, got information about the activity area of each of them, got acquainted with the Head of Administration and his Deputy. 25th Anniversary of All-Ukrainian Referendum in ONAT n. a. O.S. Popov!
On December 1, 2016, Ukraine celebrates a very important event- 25th anniversary of All- Ukrainian referendum and Declaration of Independence of Ukraine Act confirmation. Exactly after this referendum on December 1, 1991, all of the Foreign Affairs Parties recognized Ukraine independent.
Due to this important event, the employees of ONAT n. a. O.S. Popov library have organized a book exhibition, where publications about Ukraine independence were presented. Together with the exhibition issue- related lectures and talks were conducted.

November 14, 2016 in the auditorium of ONAT named after O. S Popov preventive lecture-discussion "The main means of preventing and combating human trafficking» was held.
Project "OPEN" - an international program of counselling and support for young people, especially in the search for new learning opportunities and employment aimed at the prevention of human trafficking.
The Lecture was held by the Consultant of preventive and educational project "OPEN" Anastasia Piddubska. The lecture discussed the issues of real cases of human trafficking and its prevention.

May 25, 2016 ended the competition in volleyball championship ONAT. AS Popova. The relevant competition participated 5 teams: ESI RT and IB; ESI KTA and L; Team ERI E and M - ESI ICP; And the Institute and PI (I); And the Institute and PI (II). All teams played each other on a round robin system.

May 20, 2016 at 13:15 hours. Met students ONAT A. S. Popova with the representatives of "Citrus" - Ukrainian specialized chain stores gadgets and accessories! Students was held a master class in mastering electronic services "Ecosystems Android". There were discussed issues such as features OC Android; what services Android Wear; Systems and Services Android TV; system services and Android Auto;exposing the myths about Android.
All participants were happy and grateful to coach Yaroslav Shevchuk for a very informative workshop! After the meeting, interested students were able to make an appointment to the head of Human Resources Department of "Citrus" to their employment in the company.

May 21, 2016 in Odesa. Victory in the park to celebrate Olympic Day was held sporting event with the traditional track and field race.
The competition was attended by about 5,000 from Odessa - still very young athletes and experienced veterans, masters and amateurs, representatives of sports schools in Odessa region.

O.S. Popov ONAT leading the International Telecommunication Union work on issues of policy, regulatory and technical aspects of the migration from existing networks to broadband networks
12-13 April 2016 the International Telecommunication Union held a Meeting of the group of rapporteurs on Study Group 1 Question 1/1“Policy, regulatory and technical aspects of the migration from existing networks to broadband networks in developing countries, including next-generation networks, mobile services, OTT services and the implementation of IPv6”. The meeting was held in Geneva (Switzerland) with the participation of over 80 representatives from 34 countries.
During the meeting the representative of O.S. Popov ONAT presented a draft report on Question 1/1 and innovative development of the Academy in the field of determining the migration strategy of IPv4 to IPv6. In addition, by the Rapporteur group were presented the current state of research and initiated an appeal to all regional organizations for assistance in obtaining contributions for the areas that require additional research.
