T'n'PC to promote employment of students and alumni and professional development
The faculty of skill improvement specialists of industry of connection (DSI) was created on the basis of courses of skill improvement in 1989 with the purpose of acquaintance of specialists of industry with new technologies and modern achievements of science and technique in telecommunication, postal connection, economy and management. The first dean of the department was appointed associate professor A.I. Andreev. From 1990 the department was headed by associate professor E.M. Kuricin, and from 1996 this position was held a by associate professor V.S. Cherenkov. In 1998 the dean department was appointed the associate professor “circuit circuity”, Candidate of Technical Science, G.V. Fleyta, which graduated the academy in 1977, at that time Odessa institute of electrical engineering of connection named after A.S. Popov, on speciality radio contact, broadcast and television. Except of the dean of educational process at the department were provided manager by the laboratories of Yu.V. Ram, methodists L.A.Lysenko, S.V.Kitaeva, senior-laboratorian V.A. Borschov, Stol'nik M.V., Subota M.V.
In 2008 the dean of faculty became associate professor Bol'shakov S.I., graduating student UGAZ named after O.S. Popov in 1996. Presently, except of being the dean of this faculty, the educational process on the faculty is provided the manager of laboratories Taran Yu.V., manager by practice of students and internship of teachers Khlopotna N.I. leading specialist Borisova V.M., methodist of higher category Sukhoruchenko S.V., senior laboratory assistant, is a judicial expert Tkach S.A., senior laboratory assistant Mospan Yu.S.
Preparation, that is conducted on the department, allows specialists in area of telecommunications, radio contact, broadcast, television and information technologies to support the qualification at modern level of development of technique in connection, that enables to work with new and becoming on the enterprises of connection equipment, instrumental in perfection of maintenance of users. In area of economy of enterprises of connection the methods of estimation and analysis are examined economic activity enterprises of connection, analysis of economic efficiency of capital investments, introductions of new technique and economic decisions on the stage of development of connection, decision of financial questions and record-keeping. In addition, on the department the annual retraining of specialists of connection is conducted on questions of labour on the enterprises of protection the connection, leaning against the requirements of modern norms and methods of labour protection. In every special case direction of increase qualification of specialists answers the requirements of customers, the proper material and technical base and skilled teaching staff provided here. Reading with the listeners of the department conducted the teachers of academy, which passed preparation in educational establishments and universities of England, Germany, USA, Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovakia, Poland, and also by the leading specialists of industry, with the use of modern methods of studies on the base of leading departments of academy and educational center of telecommunication technologies, TACIS created on a project. Practical preparation is conducted with the use of modern computer technique and on the leading enterprises of Odessa city.
Except for the process of studies, on a faculty the proper methodical providing of the taught disciplines is carried out. The teachers of academy are make the programs of a particular branch teaching of workers in connection for educational-course combines, points, classes, train and methodical aids are developed on questions of realization of new modern technologies in industry of connection and economy. From 2008 on a faculty are held the courses with the base preparation of appraisers/valuers of property and property rights on directions:

«the value of the object in financial form» on specializations:
- Assessment of real property, property, and expert of money value of land properties;
- Assessment of machines and equipment;
- Assessment of travelling transport vehicles;
- Assessment of aircrafts;
- Assessment of navigable facilities;
- Assessment of mobile things, except for such, which are brought in machines, equipment, travelling transport vehicles, aircrafts, navigable facilities, and those which make a cultural value;
- Assessment of integral property complexes, shares, securities, property rights and immaterial assets, including estimation of rights on objects of intellectual property;
- Assessment of integral property complexes, shares, securities property rights and immaterial assets (except for the estimation of rights on objects of intellectual property);
- Assessment of rights on objects of intellectual property.
Courses are conducted in obedience to Acceding to State property fund Ukraine about collaboration from professional preparation of appraisers 483 from 10.08.2007 year.
Except for the process of studying on the faculty examinations are executed from the estimation of property and property rights in obedience to the certificate of subject of evaluation activity 6334/07 the state property of Ukraine given out Fund from 06.12.2007 year, after directions:
- Assessment of the real estate, real estate including expert money estimation of lot lands;
- Assessment of machines and equipment;
- Assessment of travelling transport vehicles.
And also on the faculty non-state examinations of commodities are conducted in industry of state expert control in obedience to testifying to permission 012-11/2010 from 13.11.2007 year given out Government service of expert control of Ukraine.
Annually there are a great amount of the specialists of industry in connection of Ukraine and other countries of near abroad promote their qualification. Basic customers on in-plant training the employees is the Ukrainian state enterprise of postal connection “Ukrposhta”, business concern “radio broadcast, radio contacts and television“, open corporation “Ukrtelecom”, state enterprise “Spets svyaz“, state enterprise “Pressa”. Together with the specialists of industry the teachers of technical secondary school and colleges study on DSI. Except for the specialists of industry of connection on a faculty the employees of other industries promote qualification, private enterprises, where it is needed to serve communication means.
