May 5, 2017 Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications with a support of the department of physical education and administration of ONAT held.
The basketball match with participation of teams of students and graduates of the Academy. It was dedicated to the memory of Eduard Pavlovych Stankevych – long-term head of the department of physical education.

Once everyone honoured memory of Eduard Stankevych with a moment of silence, the teams started final preparations for the meeting. This game was attended by the son of Eduard Stankevych – Oleg, and his grandson, a pupil of SCYSSOR n.a. Borys Lytvak - Danylo. It was Danylo, who threw the first ball at this match, and the game started.

The coach of students’ team was the trainer of the department of physical education of the Academy of Telecommunications - Polina Shandintseva. The coach of graduates at this game was the famous trainer of Odesa from SCYSSOR n.a. Borys Lytvak- Liudmyla Ius. She is also a graduate of the Academy of Telecommunications.
The game initially was very persistent and quite even. The score developed with varying success, but at the last second of the fourth quarter with a draw score, students got right of two foul shots, and one of them was realized. Thus, the game ended with the victory of students with a score of 46:45.

After the game, at the awards ceremony, the son of Eduard Stankevych - Oleg Stankevych greeted the participants and organizers of the match.
Academy Basketball Championship winners were mentioned first thing. The Head of the department of physical education Sergii Halyuza awarded prizewinner teams certificates of appreciation and mentioned the best players. A winning cup was gifted to a team of students, and a cup for the second place was gifted to the team of graduates.
The best player of a student team and of the whole match in general was Mykyta Karkischenko. The best graduates’ team player was Dmytro Hmil.
