SCHOLARSHIP FOR POST-GRADUATE STUDENT OF ODESSA NATIONAL O.S.POPOV ACADEMY OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS (ONAT)

English company «RINICOM LTD» (www.rinicom.com), represented by its founder, as well as co-founder and chairman of “Rinicom Holding Goup”, professor, doctor of sciences (PhD) Garegin Markarian (graduate of Odessa O.S. Popov Electrotechnical Institute of Communication 1997), on the basis of agreement with the Academy, since January 1, 2015, will annually provide with scholarship in the size of 1,200 US dollars per year to one of their post-graduate students of ONAT to support and motivate the gifted young scientists.
The company “RINICOM LTD” specializes in the developments for the field of wireless communications, digital television and radiobroadcasting, as well as in the application for wireless video monitoring.
Professor Garegin Markarian is one of the leading world specialists in the field of wireless broadband communications and security. His research interests include (but they are not limited with) wireless broadband communications, self-configurable sensor networks, e-HEALTH and aviation security. Nowadays, besides the activity connected with the management of “Rinicom Holding Group”, he heads the department of “Communication Systems” at the University of Lancaster (Great Britain). Professor Garegin Markarian is the author of more than 250 publications, including textbooks, articles in the international periodicals, patents and reports at the international conferences and the symposia.
According to the contract conditions the scholarship is assigned to the post-graduate student, whose average progress is 5,00 marks (according to the results of post-graduation entry exams), who actively participates in the scientific work, conducted by the Academy, at the conferences and other scientific events, which increase the authority of the Ukraine in the international arena and testifies about the high level of the Ukraine educational and scientific development; there are considered other achievements of post-graduate student, connected with his technical education. The candidature of scholarship holder is considered and approved on the Academic Board of ONAÒ.
